Ultrasound and Echocardography

Outpatient ultrasound and echocardiography will be offered every Tuesday BY APPOINTMENT ONLY with   

Dr. Sheri Newell DVM, Cert. IVUSS, Past President/Chair Cert. Comm.

How to Schedule an Appointment

Please call 610-224-7874 to schedule your pet's scan.  Your referring veterinarian will also need to fill out the Ultrasound/Echo Referral Form below prior to your scheduled appointment.

How to Prepare Your Pet for the Scan

  • Ultrasound patients should NOT eat or drink anything after 10:00 PM the evening before the scan.  Please do NOT give water in the morning. 
  • If your pet is diabetic, hypoglycemic, very young or a ferret they should NOT eat or drink for 4 hours prior to the scan.  
  • Echocardiogram patients do not need to fast.
  • If your pet is having a scan that focuses on the bladder and/or kidneys he/she should have a full bladder for the scan.  PLEASE DO NOT ALLOW THEM TO URINATE DIRECTLY PRIOR TO THE SCAN.

If you're interested in scheduling an appointment for you pet, please have the referring veterinarian fill out the referral form below. ****Please be sure to include any bloodwork, doctor's notes and x-rays that have already been completed pertaining to your pet's condition. X-rays can be emailed to rushveturgentcare@gmail.com****
